I left home at 3:00 pm that day, and came back at 6:am the next day. It was a long day ! Had been to Nitin's uncle's wedding. After my experiences I have compiled a list of DOs and DON'Ts people should keep in mind in case they get to organize a Wedding.

On the day of marriage, waiting out side the church, in front of the main door, for my future wife, I had a funny feeling – Is she going to turn up or not? It was late. The priest was already on the altar.  I had an altercation with him few days ago. “Wedding mass will start at 9 sharp,” he had said, “with you or without you!”

I still don’t plan to get married for the next two years but I have some certain definite plans about my honeymoon.

Mom - Yesterday we went to XYZ Mama's cousin sister's daughter's marriage. There we got a marriage proposal for you!!

He is made to sit in revealing clothing so that people can see he is more or less physically ok. His suppleness is tested by the ballerina toes, his intuition by putting the vermilion without looking at the bride, how easily he can part with cash by all the tips he has to give to all and sundry, and in sum his patience is tested all throughout.

These are the type of guests who come to the marriage with a prime aim to find faults in the arrangements and the pair getting married so that they can tell their relatives about bad lighting arrangements, dirty carpets and "khatta dahi vadas"

So well now my brother was without shoes, and one of my cousins was without shoes. We started getting frustrated, and asked the bride's side to return the wrong pair of shoes. They refused point blankly. Their opinion was that shoes were shoes, and they did not care whose shoes did they have, as long they had something.

The days before the marriage saw me trying to arrange stuff like DJ, rooms for the guests, alcohol and a lot of less important stuff. Also, the responsibility of taking care of guests who trickled in and out fell upon me.
